Brazilian Jazz: Manfredo Fest-Brazilian Dorian Dream
MANFREDO FEST- BRAZILIAN DORIAN DREAM- LP- T&M PRODUCTIONS- 1976
Manfredo Fest was an internationally known Brazilian piano and keyboard player who made a name for when he first came to Minneapolis in 1967. He most famously played in Sergio Mendes Bossa Rio group and his sound reflects the influence that his Brazilian upbringing and American immigration had on him. This LP was recorded at the reknown Sound 80 studio in Minneapolis and features a local and internation group of musicians/singers: St. Paul, MN native Roberta Davis on vocals, New Zealander Thomas Kini on bass, Costa Rican Alejo Poveda on drums and percussion, and of course our boy Manfredo on the keys. The musicians combine to create a very dope mix of Latin/Brazilian percussion, jazz, funk, and rock, all with a very soulful vibe. Very much recomended.

yeah i found this record a couple years ago, i burned it a couple times.. is it worth any $
I made that Juggaknots 'No Money' remix from that record. Really ill record.
What up Ben, I saw a copy of it go on ebay recently for about $20, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it go for more too.
Bueno yo tengo ese disco desde que mi hermano Alejo me lo diera hace muchos aƱos.Y lo conservo con mucho placer. Los musicos que tocan en el son de primera linea. Cordialmente, desde Costa Rica,
Help! My fiance and I are looking for Latin music for our wedding. Live music. Guitars and drums. He's Afro-Brazilian, and he knows what he wants, but I'm from Wisconsin and can't seem to find the right people there.
Any suggestions? Also looking for a really great DJ...one who'll do afro, latin, middle eastern, portuguese and french music (all the places we've lived)...with our African drumming friends accompanying.
Again...suggestions?? THANKS!!!
